Peter was the main artist of my cabaret in Cape Town. The first of a family that I have formed and which continues, to my great honor to preach the good word, each in his own way.
Some performers leave a mark far deeper than applause can measure. Their artistry is matched only by their generosity - the way they share wisdom, shape raw potential, and demand excellence with love and precision.
To be guided by such a force is to learn that performance is not just about the stage, but about presence, purpose, and heart. The legacy of that kind of mentorship lives on in every step, gesture, and breath taken under the lights.
This in truth and heart is Luc Pelletier.
Martin and I performed on many common stages at the time. I had the pleasure of recording with him his song "I feel High", remotely, between Istanbul and Hendaye in 2015!
I met Luc in Warsaw in the early 2000s, when he was already one of the most versatile and respected Drag performers on the Eastern European stage and television. I was a young pop artist from Denmark with a background in theatre and cabaret, and had the privilege of performing — and later recording — with him.
Our duet I Feel High was first released in 2015 and re-released in 2025.
Beyond his own remarkable career, Luc was a generous coach and creative sparring partner whose guidance, sharp eye, and kindness helped shape both my confidence and artistic direction.
Farid has played all his shows at la Luna since his beginnings, long before I became the Director. We have since created a privileged relationship that I appreciate enormously.
Luc has always been attentive, available and very professional. I have always appreciated the exchanges we may have had, as well as the trust he has always given me both for my shows and for the artists I might have presented to him.

The creator of the excellent Denise Jardinière, Thibaut has many strings to his bow. I had the pleasure of programming him several times at la Luna, and it's not over. He also holds the record for the number of spectators at la Luna in 1 year: 1000!
The connection with Luc was immediate. Maybe because he's an artist above all? We understand each other, without the need for a long speech.

Sophie Teulière has a sharp and funny look at live shows. In addition to working together (I have programmed Amaia of which she is the director), we really like to exchange our points of view on the shows we see in Avignon.
One might think that Luc is only a wonderful sweet and benevolent human being and that would already be enough but we must add to these undeniable qualities a sharp artistic look and an unusual flair. It is certainly one of my most beautiful friendly and artistic encounters in recent years.
I will never forget the first exchange we had in the middle of the Avignon festival and which was in his image: patience, kindness, curiosity, humor.
Christophe is the author of the excellent "What if the Works of Art could talk" and "Excuse me, pardon!", both programmed at la Luna. He is also doted with an amazing sensitivity.
There are few theater managers with whom I have such exciting exchanges, both artistically and in terms of life in general; in any case, the two are intrinsic.
Luc has a human and artistic sensitivity that allows him to aim right.
At the end of the performances, he humbly and benevolently confides his feelings that often bring a relevant light that improves the show.
In addition to his great sensitivity, the fact that he himself was an artist contributes to the meticulous reception he reserves to artists, to his increased listening.
Even if the theater occupies a large part of my life, I often say that it is only an excuse to make beautiful encounters.

Subsequently, from Brussels to Cape Town, Luc Pelletier was able to demonstrate his multiple talents as a musician, singer, showman, and organiser of artistic performances.
I do not doubt for a moment the success of his new projects because he remains in my eyes, one of the most talented artists met during my career as a violinist and conductor.
Sarah was a very young promising artist when I programmed her at la Luna Negra, and I was a brand new artistic director. I followed and looked after her the best I could and am proud to see her grow every day, personnally and artistically!
Luc was not just a companion in my career but a real founding pillar on which I was lucky enough to be able to rely to find the strength to embark on this project.
He has never been stingy with compliments (which is quite rare in this profession to underline it) and has always had a benevolent eye on my work while challenging me and doing his best to get me out of my comfort zone and deliver the best of myself. He is one of those people that we have the chance to meet and who make this musical adventure so much more beautiful.
Today, Luc is one of the people I would remember all my life for being one of the first to believe in my dream and make it come true.

Luc has the wisdom and benevolence of souls who have lived a thousand lives, with a grain of madness that we love and an exceptional empathy towards artists. Luc is our sun, as warm as the audience of La Luna, which, just as he does, welcomes artists like nowhere else in the intimacy of its cocoon in the heart of Bayonne. It is our favorite encounter, we are always sad to leave la Luna and always in a hurry to return.
Tiara strongly marked my life and my vision of the drag world. I will always remember the shy curiosity in her eyes the first time she crossed the doors of my cabaret, up to when she became one of the leading figures of my team! It was a personal pride for me to see her hatch from her cocoon to become the beautiful and talented artist she is!
Luc : A real trailblazer and someone who had a massive impact on the LGBTQIA+ community of Cape Town and on me personally as a performer, being the first one to give me a platform with a live mic to sharpen my craft and become the artist I am today. Renaud is one of my oldest friends and fellow photographer artist. I have always been impressed by his rigor and deep passion for photography. I am also proud to own one of his sublime photographic compositions!
In the first year of the Faculty of Plastic Arts, I quickly sympathised with Luc. His practice in visual arts was already developed, and his humor was already well sharpened. We quickly became friends, and I fell fascinated by his voice. Subsequently, through his passionate and exciting world of Drag, Luc embodied a total art form.
His long artistic career has made him a deeply sensitive person mastering the ins and outs of the entertainment world: communication, networks, sense of image and of course a very sharp and sensitive ear.
It is for all these reasons that I am still proud to be his friend, 30 years later.
