• Origins and training
He grew up at the Folk Music Center, an iconic music store in Claremont, California, founded by his grandparents. This environment allowed him to learn from an early age the repair of instruments, sculpture and music. Peter Harper's family affair with music spans 4 generations of talented musicians.
• Artistic career
Trained in sculpture (licenter's degree from Pitzer College, master's degree from NYU), he exhibited his bronze works in California and New York until 2006.
Then, in his thirties, he turned to music, found his signature with the tenor guitar, and developed a committed and sensitive folk-soul repertoire.
